As a Armed Security Officer Afternoon Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to resident and visitor needs. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain required armed credentials and equipment, follow applicable laws and Allied Universal procedures, and complete assigned reports accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
