As a Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Driving Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, where you will patrol assigned areas, perform driving patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and/or resident interactions while maintaining a visible presence and supporting community rules, property policies, and security-related procedures.
  • Assist with alarm response, access control issues, and/or after-hours calls for service, communicating with local authorities, residents, and property representatives when appropriate.
