About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer Access Control in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records, including issuing and retrieving access badges and reporting discrepancies.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
