About The Position

We are hiring professional Armed Security Guards to provide security services at Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) facilities. Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and state property. The role involves working in high-traffic public environments while delivering professional customer service, observing activity, and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Active Armed Security License/Certification required.
• Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while on duty.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience working in government facilities.
• CCTV and access control experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout DMV facilities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and parking lots.
• Conduct access control and verify identification when required.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain order in public areas.
• Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Ensure firearm safety and compliance with all state and company regulations.
