About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is seeking a dependable, professional Armed School Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at a school in Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania. Candidates should have sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Applicants must successfully interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. This is a full-time position during the school year, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked. The role may include additional hours for school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district. Potential summer employment may be available depending on performance and operational needs.

Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
FBI fingerprint clearance.
Reliable transportation and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
Successful interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
Attend school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district.
