Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI) is hiring an Armed Protection Officer (APO) for its healthcare security client in Northern and Southern California. As part of the Regional Security Services team, the APO is responsible for the physical and personal security of members, staff, and visitors at healthcare facilities. The role involves responding to emergencies, preserving order, enforcing regulations, and protecting people and property from theft, damage, hazards, interference, and potential workplace violence. The APO works with security, clinical, administrative, and other leaders to identify and mitigate security and workplace-violence risks. Candidates must have served in an official capacity in a law enforcement agency or the U.S. military; security-guard work alone does not meet this requirement. The role also requires experience as an armed security officer and the specified security credentials. The officer provides a professional security presence, supports threat management and workplace-violence prevention, trains staff and officers, monitors facility access, and prepares detailed reports. BCI describes itself as a minority-owned, global service provider with 9,000 employees and states that it is an equal-opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
