About The Position

The Armed Health Protection Officer monitors access to the facility, watches for potential security threats, and conducts bag checks and screenings for weapons or prohibited items. The officer responds to security emergencies and safety incidents, assists hospital staff during high-risk or disruptive situations, and works with hospital leadership, security teams, and emergency personnel. The role follows established emergency response procedures and may involve hands-on intervention, when necessary and permitted by policy, if a patient becomes physically aggressive.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of armed experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
• Previously CJTC-certified.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an Armed Guard Card.
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and health physical check.
• Complete required Varicella, MMR, and Hepatitis B health requirements.
• If non-immune or low-immune, provide vaccination records or complete the required vaccination process.

Responsibilities
