About The Position

As an Armed Driver Guard, you work with a team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables. The role involves driving armored vehicles on designated routes, servicing customer locations, and handling cargo such as deposits and change orders. The position is full-time, with a schedule potentially averaging 40 to 50 hours per week over at least five days in a six-day period. Occasional weekend work may be required. Approximately 90–95 percent of work is performed in an air-conditioned vehicle within its front and rear compartments. Qualification for the position requires a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), including physical testing of lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, repetitive hand coupling, and climbing abilities. Loomis pays for security and firearms qualifications, licensing, and permitting.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have at least a three-year driving record.
Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate through a U.S. Department of Transportation-approved medical examiner.
Have a valid firearms permit or be able to pass applicable firearms requirements for the state of application.
Successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation, including the specified lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, hand-grip, and climbing tests.

Responsibilities

Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations.
Service ATMs and Smart Safes.
Service customer stops, including delivering customer change orders and picking up deposits.
Load and unload vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins.
Count items, record them, and sign for cargo items.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
