About The Position

As an Armed Driver Guard, you work with a team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables. The position involves driving armored and other vehicles on designated routes, servicing ATMs, Smart Safes, and customer locations, and handling cargo such as bags and boxes of coins. The role is full-time and may average 40 to 50 hours per week, with work scheduled on at least five days during a six-day period. Occasional weekend work is required. Approximately 90–95 percent of the work is performed in an air-conditioned vehicle within its front or rear compartments. Candidates must complete a Human Performance Evaluation as part of the qualification process. Testing covers lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, repetitive hand coupling, and climbing. Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing, and permitting.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have at least a three-year driving record.
Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate through a U.S. Department of Transportation-approved medical examiner.
Have a valid firearms permit or be able to pass applicable firearms requirements for the state of application.
Successfully complete the required Human Performance Evaluation, including specified lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, hand-grip, and climbing tests.

Responsibilities

Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes serving customer locations.
Service ATMs and Smart Safes.
Service customer stops, including delivering change orders and picking up deposits.
Load and unload vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins.
Count items and record and sign for cargo items.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
