About The Position

Alta is seeking an experienced transportation professional to lead its expanding Arizona market. The ideal candidate will possess a background in planning or engineering, with expertise in Complete Streets and the development and delivery of multi-modal transportation projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, engineering, landscape architecture, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Eight or more years of experience in a consulting environment or public entity managing large projects.
  • Three or more years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience in multi-modal transportation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the project delivery process.
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques for consulting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow Alta’s presence in the Phoenix metro area and broader Arizona market.
  • Manage and deliver transportation projects, including active transportation and TDM plans, road safety studies, corridor studies, and multi-modal design and implementation.
  • Lead business development activities, cultivating relationships with clients and partners.
  • Attend client meetings, conduct site visits, perform public outreach, and present findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff, supporting their professional development and career growth.
  • Attend industry conferences and professional organization meetings for business development and to present on Alta’s work.
  • Collaborate with staff from other Alta offices and colleagues within the Trilon Group.
