About The Position

We are seeking an Area Supervisor to join our team in Binghamton, NY. This role is responsible for overseeing cleaning operations, training new hires, managing building supplies, ensuring timely service, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and work under pressure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, ExpressTime, and CompanyCam.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and operate under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to hold others accountable.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds and carry a 25-pound backpack vacuum cleaner.
  • Position includes frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be willing to work in damp, dusty, or soiled areas and handle human waste and other bodily fluids when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to explain building/task schedules and ServiceMaster cleaning techniques.
  • Train all new hires to ServiceMaster TBS standards and complete training sign-offs.
  • Understand task schedules for each assigned account and communicate any changes to upper management.
  • Perform building inspections as scheduled, complete Recap Forms, and upload photos to CompanyCam.
  • Complete daily recaps and address any quality inspection issues/requests within the allotted time.
  • Manage building supplies by controlling inventory, preventing shortages without overstocking accounts, and ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Verify that all accounts have been serviced according to their schedule.
  • Monitor employee punches to limit payroll issues and report call-outs to management.
  • Cover open positions if coverage cannot be found.
  • Manage and report safety concerns and incidents to the HR/Safety Manager.
  • Ensure all OSHA-required annual safety training is completed.
