About The Position

As part of the Domestic Scouting Department, the Area Scout will scout a specified territory and evaluate player talent. The role involves recommending and signing quality major league prospects for the organization. Core duties include being responsible for all baseball-related scouting activity within the territory, building and maintaining relationships with players, families, coaches, and advisors in the area, and evaluating draft-eligible players to accurately determine their signability.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in scouting or related fields
• Ability to successfully evaluate amateur and professional baseball talent at all levels

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all baseball-related scouting activity that takes place in the territory
• Build and maintain relationships with players, families, coaches, and advisors in the area
• Evaluate draft eligible players and accurately determine their sign ability
