About The Position

Lead and develop a team of Outside Sales Representatives while driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic area for Spindletop Energy Products, a leading distributor of pro-grade control and emissions equipment. Responsible for territory strategy development, account allocation, and sales team performance management. Leverage deep industry expertise and product knowledge to coach representatives, develop strategic customer relationships, and ensure exceptional service delivery. Success in this role requires advanced sales leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams while maintaining our service-first approach and continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in related industry
  • Demonstrated sales leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of territory management principles
  • Technical product sales experience preferred
  • 10 years Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Supply Stores, or Natural Gas Compression preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools
  • Advanced relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven coaching and development capabilities
  • Strong business and financial acumen

Responsibilities

  • Strategize territory management and account delegation to achieve growth goals
  • Manage hiring, performance, and development of area sales reps
  • Focus team on top priorities and opportunities through motivation and communication
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers within territory
  • Identify and pursue new strategic customer opportunities through targeted outreach
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product suite and effectively position against competitor offerings
  • Ensure team documentation of all sales activities and pipeline management
  • Support complex negotiations and strategic opportunities
  • Proactively monitor local market and industry updates within territory
  • Monitor and analyze territory performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
