About The Position

iFLY is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team, with the mission to elevate their STEM program. This role is responsible for driving revenue through the STEM sales channel by engaging with decision-makers in school districts and non-traditional STEM markets to secure new field trips. The position is pivotal in expanding iFLY’s educational offerings and reinforcing its standing in STEM education. This is a remote position overseeing 2 or more iFLY locations. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, driven to achieve sales targets, possesses excellent negotiation skills, proficiency in outbound sales tactics, and can effectively close deals. A customer-centric mindset and the ability to build genuine relationships through consultative selling are key.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a history of being a top performer.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in pipeline management and experience with account-based sales.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address client needs and challenges.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in educational sales or familiarity with STEM education and programs is a plus.
  • Proficiency is using CRM software and other sales tools is plus.

Responsibilities

  • Source new business opportunities through cold calling, emailing, and setting up open houses.
  • Hunt for new leads and establish relationships with potential clients.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with decision-makers to present iFLY’s educational offerings and demonstrate program alignment with educational goals.
  • Employ effective sales techniques to close deals and acquire new business, tailoring solutions to client needs.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and work on account-based sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Leverage existing relationships to generate referral-based sales and build a network through satisfied customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of territory-based sales and manage the sales pipeline efficiently.
  • Monitor sales metrics, report on sales performance, and analyze trends to provide insights for data-driven decisions.
  • Manage and oversee 2-4 iFLY locations, ensuring they meet company standards and targets, and align strategies with local teams.
