This role is responsible for managing the complex sales process of da Vinci® Surgical Systems into new hospitals and upgrades into existing hospitals. The Area Sales Manager will build support from surgeons and administration for da Vinci® Surgery, identify key institutions, generate market awareness, and drive sales within an assigned territory. The position also involves managing the transition of initial sales to the sales team to drive procedural volume and growth, achieving quarterly sales targets, and partnering with the Area Sales Director to develop a territory sales plan. Key activities include building surgical advocacy teams, developing relationships with hospital leadership, organizing the sales process, understanding primary OR procedures, making business cases for system purchases, resolving contractual issues, coordinating installations, and handling all communications and administrative follow-up.
