About The Position

KFF is a regional food wholesaler with around 250 colleagues based near Maidstone, Kent. We are part of Sysco, the world’s largest foodservice provider with over 65,000 colleagues globally. KFF has a family feel with a close-knit team, supplying both local pub and restaurant customers as well as delivering direct to the caterer. KFF has ambitious growth plans and is looking for Area Sales Managers who will be responsible for winning and maximizing independent foodservice business in their area. This role is ideal for someone who loves working out in the field and has the opportunity to grow their career as part of a large foodservice company.

Requirements

  • Ability to win new business and maximize sales through existing customers.
  • Field Sales/Account Management background.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Technically proficient in Excel.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Passion for sales.

Responsibilities

  • Be solely responsible for the success of your own territory by achieving profitable volume growth Vs targets.
  • Gain, grow, and retain customers.
  • Research target audience and opportunities in your territory.
  • Build and leverage strong customer relationships through constant selling, face-to-face meetings, and understanding customer needs.
  • Onboard new customers effectively and successfully.
  • Ensure close working relationships with existing accounts and track activity.
  • Partner customers to understand their plans for growth, adding value, and offering a wide range of practical solutions and products.
  • Understand competitor activity & proposals, ensuring you are always offering customers the best local solutions.
