About The Position

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a motivated, organized, and relationship-focused Area Sales Coordinator to support sales efforts across their portfolio of hotels in the West Valley City, Utah market. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, coordinating sales activities, and contributing to the success of multiple hospitality properties. As an Area Sales Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting revenue growth by assisting with sales initiatives, maintaining strong client partnerships, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the guest experience. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will help drive success across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hotel sales, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional business relationships
  • Knowledge of sales principles including prospecting, networking, and customer retention
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable

Responsibilities

  • Support revenue growth initiatives across multiple hotel properties within the West Valley City portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, organizations, and community partners
  • Assist with prospecting efforts to identify new business opportunities and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local events to uncover revenue opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, bookings, and client communications
  • Review daily arrivals and coordinate with hotel teams to ensure guest expectations are exceeded
  • Work closely with Front Desk and Operations teams to ensure group reservations, negotiated rates, and billing details are accurate
  • Assist with sales presentations, proposals, marketing campaigns, and promotional initiatives
  • Participate in local networking events, trade shows, and community organizations to increase brand awareness
  • Attend regular sales meetings and contribute ideas to support portfolio sales goals
