About The Position

The Area Representative works with the Directors to fulfill the FCA Vision, pursue the FCA Mission, and live the FCA Values by implementing the ministry plan for the assigned area. In FCA Sports Environments, the Representative ensures a consistent approach to discipleship: making disciples who make disciples. The Representative is accountable for ensuring that FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and adheres to FCA policies and procedures. The position includes ministerial duties, ministry advancement, talent advancement, donor advancement, and international advancement. The Representative provides spiritual leadership and discipleship for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes; equips coaches and athletes through one-on-ones, Huddles, and events; develops volunteers; stewards area finances and fundraising; and supports the aligned International Region in collaboration with the Director.

Must connect with and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.

Responsibilities

Implement the ministry plan for the assigned area in collaboration with the Directors.
Ensure consistent discipleship practices in FCA Sports Environments, making disciples who make disciples.
Ensure FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and FCA policies and procedures.
Agree with and abide by FCA's Christian Community Statement.
Maintain a spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
Lead and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and personal example.
Connect with and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
Conduct oneself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.
Minister to coaches and athletes through one-on-ones, Huddles, and events.
Train and equip staff and volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples in Sports Environments.
Oversee the recruiting, training, and development of effective and diverse volunteers.
Attract and recruit qualified volunteers for Sports Environments.
Provide volunteers with tools, resources, and training to develop their skills and increase their capacity and competence.
Prepare volunteers for their roles and responsibilities and support their spiritual and personal growth.
Connect and communicate with existing and prospective financial partners and care for them in order to become fully funded.
Manage and steward the finances for the assigned area of responsibility.
Establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan by growing the Home Team, major donors, and events.
Work with the Director to serve the aligned International Region through praying, giving, and going.
