The Area Operations Manager reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and will oversee Operations Managers, Lot Coordinators, operations, sales, and financials for respective areas. This role ensures all standards for professionalism, appearance, vehicle, work ethic, customer service, and workplace safety and cleanliness are always upheld. The Area Operations Manager will develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers, attend regional operations team weekly meetings, and monthly meetings with Regional Operations Managers to review goals and expectations. This role involves weekly visits to all stores within the area, attending Regional & EchoPark conference calls weekly, and holding in-person meetings with all associates to discuss issues, daily goals, constraints, and plans for all stores. The Area Operations Manager will also attend trade walks and/or morning team huddles on a daily basis, audit nightly WIP emails/reports for opportunities of improvement, support needed, and/or overall location health, and reply once a week to every store’s nightly WIP emails/reports. Additionally, they will send weekly recap emails to store management for all stores in the area, ensure daily billing at all locations in the region, and work with the Regional Operations Manager to ensure proper budgeting, staffing, and planning is in place to handle current business. This role includes reviewing monthly P&Ls and working with the Regional Operations Manager on financial improvement, ensuring locations, visits, and calls are entered and notated in NetSuite, and reviewing and processing requisition/SCF forms. The Area Operations Manager will also review & correct daily missing punch & punch changes, submit bi-weekly Amex reports, submit schedules to Human Resources monthly by the 25th of each month, and submit all payroll for the area within assigned deadlines. They will review and/or submit supply orders for all stores in the area, compile monthly Risk Compliance reports for the area, and assist in all Accounts Payables/Receivables for the area. Keeping up with new products available by supplier and informing technicians on those products is also a responsibility, along with ensuring effective and efficient operations and proficiency in all Operations Manager and Lot Coordinator duties. The role ensures proper roll out of new products, policies, practices, and procedures, communicates daily with the Regional Operations Manager, and all assigned Operations Managers & Lot Coordinators, and provides important data and updates to the Regional Operations Manager in a timely manner. Other duties assigned by the Regional Operations Manager are also part of this role.
