About The Position

The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring that Team Members work safely, produce quality parts, meet production goals, and problem-solve on the shop floor. This role involves ensuring proper documentation for safety and quality, auditing Team Member performance, coordinating manufacturing activities, and ensuring compliance with process control parameters and operator instructions. The Area Manager will also teach, train, coach, and assist Team Members to develop multi-functional employees. Responsibilities include scheduling shift production/overtime, managing machine changeovers, gathering and analyzing data for MOS strategies, preparing production reports, and correcting reporting deviations. Additionally, the role involves managing workplace organization and housekeeping, attending production, safety, and quality meetings, and maintaining employee relations policies and safety regulations. The Area Manager is empowered to enforce housekeeping standards at the plant level and perform other assigned essential functions.

Requirements

  • College Degree preferred and/or High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper documentation completion for all safety and quality requirements.
  • Audit Team Members performance.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing activities.
  • Ensure compliance to parameters, operator instructions for process control.
  • Teaches, trains, coaches and assist Team Members to create multi-functional employees.
  • Schedules shift production/overtime and mechanical machine change overs.
  • Gathers data, analyzes and develops strategies for MOS.
  • Prepare the daily and weekly production needs report.
  • Reviews and corrects uptime/production reporting deviations.
  • Manage the workplace organization and housekeeping activities.
  • Attend production, safety, and quality current event meetings.
  • Maintain established employee relations policies and safety and health regulations.
  • Empowered to demand that others maintain housekeeping standards at plant level.
  • Perform other essential functions as assigned.
