About The Position

Velociti Services is seeking an Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations for one client account with nearly 100 locations and approximately 50 employees. This position is responsible for maintaining service quality, supporting employees, managing staffing and schedules, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader who can manage multiple locations, communicate effectively in English and Spanish, and respond to changing operational needs.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in janitorial, commercial cleaning, or facilities services.
  • Experience managing employees across multiple locations preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish.
  • Working knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing needs and work independently across a large account.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, timekeeping, and reporting systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Availability to work primarily during the day with flexibility for some nighttime activity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily janitorial operations across assigned locations, ensuring work meets client expectations and company standards.
  • Lead, coach, and support approximately 50 employees across multiple sites.
  • Manage employee schedules, attendance, coverage, and labor allocation to maintain consistent service.
  • Conduct regular site visits and quality inspections, document findings, and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the client, responding promptly to questions and service concerns.
  • Partner with recruiting and onboarding teams to fill vacancies and prepare new employees for their assignments.
  • Train employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, chemical handling, and safety practices.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinate replenishment, and report maintenance needs.
  • Review timekeeping and support accurate payroll processing.
  • Address employee performance concerns and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor labor hours and supply usage to support account budget goals.
  • Provide hands-on cleaning support when needed.
  • Drive a company vehicle between locations and follow company vehicle policies.
  • Adjust work hours as needed to support nighttime operations, inspections, and employee coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
