About The Position
Value Buds is seeking a results-driven Area Manager to lead multiple retail locations and develop high-performing teams. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is accountable for sales performance, operational excellence, people development, and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of stores in a fast-paced, multi-unit retail environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of multi-unit retail management experience
- Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets, labour, and KPIs
- Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
- Working knowledge of cannabis regulations or experience in a regulated retail environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between store locations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Management or a related field
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple retail store locations
- Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and leadership teams
- Drive sales, KPIs, labour, and budget performance
- Improve customer experience and operational consistency
- Build succession plans and develop future leaders
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Analyze store performance, customer feedback, and trends to implement improvements
- Maintain compliance with company policies and provincial/federal cannabis regulations
- Review financial reports and prepare performance updates as required
