Distribution Center Area Manager - Training
About The Position
Join our team as an Area Manager and lead operations for the Training team at our Junction City, KS distribution center. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on problem-solving and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership experience, distribution center environment preferred
- Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong reasoning, analytical, and organizational skills
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with different levels within the organization
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred
- Previous working knowledge of automated DC Systems and current RF technology preferred
Responsibilities
- Direct and coach your team to achieve daily operational goals
- Ensure compliance to EHS, quality, and employee relations standards
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements that optimize cost, efficiency, and product integrity while eliminating waste and process variation
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork
- Lead your team's daily shift start-up meetings and actively contribute input during the site's daily production meetings
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial planning process
- Manage labor plans and daily demands, making real-time decisions to optimize service and cost
- Participate in internal and external audits and resolve findings effectively
- Support hiring and talent development within your department
- Troubleshoot WMS issues and support system improvements
