This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The Area Manager will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. They will maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing supporting documentation. This role involves identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns. Additionally, the Area Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating opportunities for all associates to thrive. It also involves working collaboratively, communicating effectively to motivate and influence, attracting and retaining talent, empowering development, and recognizing contributions. The Area Manager is expected to act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact. They will serve customers by delivering results with a customer-first approach, adapting to how, where, and when customers shop, and applying EDLP and EDLC business models.
