Salary: between $63,000 - $65,000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus Location: Sacramento, CA Area Manager Job Summary Reporting to Regional Director, The Area Manager assists in overseeing the fiscal and physical day-to-day operations of multiple store locations within a district.

Requirements

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of storage or multi-site location operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, operational software and current technology.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises store associates.
  • Coordinates and manages all operational issues in accordance with the Companys policies and procedures.
  • Manages and directs the day-to-day reservations/rentals, delinquent tenant management, and maintenance activities of Store Managers.
  • Oversees store operations and provides feedback, coaching, and accountability to all store employees by enforcing and modeling all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors property performance and suggests operational improvements to achieve district goals.
  • Provides information and reports regarding the stores to the District Manager or Regional Manager as requested.
  • Ensures that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standards of the Company.
  • Oversees all incidents occurring at each store and ensures proper handling.
  • Performs the general duties assigned to a District Trainer.
  • Continually trains field staff on all sales and operational processes and procedures.
  • Maintains strict adherence to all Company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintains regular communications with District Managers, Regional Manager and corporate office staff.
  • Assists with hiring new employees; on-boards and trains new hires.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of store staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Assists with discipline up to an including termination of store employees as needed and in accordance with Company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
