About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is currently looking for an Area Manager. The Area Manager is responsible for providing in the field mentorship/leadership to a team of Drivers (Route Sales and Service Representatives - RSSRs), by developing their one way and rental field sales goals, ensuring an unsurpassed level of customer satisfaction, while pushing the depot and district to achieve operational goals. Must have Route Sales Management Experience. Area Manager base salary is $75,000 - $78,000 plus incentives. The starting salary is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. Qualified candidates must have excellent route sales skills, customer service skills, a strong business acumen, and the ability to provide effective in the field on the job mentoring. The position requires a thorough understanding of one-way route sales and rental services provided by Mission, an excellent work ethic, a high level of organization, and computer literacy. Directs efforts designed to maximize one-way sales and increasing new products and services in existing accounts and is also responsible for account retention. This role reports directly to the General Manager, District Manager, or Branch Manager. Responsibilities

  • Providing in the field mentorship/leadership to a team of Drivers (Route Sales and Service Representatives - RSSRs)
  • Developing one way and rental field sales goals for RSSRs
  • Ensuring an unsurpassed level of customer satisfaction
  • Pushing the depot and district to achieve operational goals
  • Mentoring and training RSSRs in an assigned market area
  • Managing the daily field activities of the RSSRs, including increasing Key Performance Indicators
  • Assisting in the development of sales strategies and formulation of plans and policies concerning market area definition, product lines, merchandise quality, advertising, and pricing activities
  • Working toward achievement of plant goals such as increasing one-way sales, account retention, and contract management
  • Administering a recruitment and training program for RSSRs to include, initial orientation, product familiarity, knowledge of company policies and procedures, goals and objectives
  • Providing continuing education and training relating to account retention, planning, sales techniques and personal appearance
  • Pursuing market potential, following-up, and closing sales with selected customers in coordinated efforts with the General Manager, Sales Representatives and RSSRs
