About The Position

This role is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The Area Manager will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. They will maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. Additionally, they will identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns. This role involves supervising and developing associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching, supporting, and modeling policies, and identifying training needs. The Area Manager will also participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves acting with integrity, upholding ethical standards, and contributing to Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company. The Area Manager will serve customers and members by delivering results, putting the customer first, and adapting to changing shopping behaviors. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years Walmart Logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
