This position implements the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The role involves monitoring and managing the productivity of the area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. It also requires maintaining quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing supporting documentation. The Area Manager will identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. A key aspect of the role is managing the troubleshooting of systems applications by working with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors on problem resolution and supporting the continuing development of current and future systems applications.
