The Area Manager, Procurement is responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards within their assigned area of responsibility. This includes ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. The role involves supervising and developing associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback. The Area Manager will also identify training needs, participate in hiring and evaluation processes, and manage the productivity of their area through business reports. They will serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and vendors, resolving routine supplier issues and escalating non-routine ones. Researching alternative vendors, participating in supplier selection, and ensuring purchases meet delivery dates and quality specifications are key duties. The role also involves suggesting process improvements, participating in requirements analysis for change programs, and gathering data for business process analysis. Contract management, including documenting capital appropriations and budget reports, is also part of the responsibilities. The Area Manager will demonstrate expertise in developing and executing action plans, building partnerships, and implementing business solutions. They will model compliance with company policies and support company values and standards of ethics and integrity.
