This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. This role also involves maintaining quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. Identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns is also a key function. The Area Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. They will also participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves working collaboratively, communicating effectively, attracting and retaining talent, and recognizing contributions. The Area Manager is expected to act with integrity, uphold ethical standards, and support Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact.
