This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. This role also involves maintaining quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing supporting documentation. The Area Manager will identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and will supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. This role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves acting with integrity, upholding ethical standards, and contributing to Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company. The position requires a focus on serving customers by delivering results, adapting to customer shopping habits, and applying the EDLP and EDLC business models.
