About The Position

The Area Manager (AM) focuses on developing and executing Phileo’s commercial strategy in his/her perimeter to drive sales, ensure profitability, and meet local market needs, all within targets. This is a strategic, results-driven role requiring strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Engineer Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years experiences in commercial/sales activity, include sales team management.
• Strong background & knowledge in animal nutrition and health, knowledge of the local target market and their players.
• Ability to leverage sales negotiation techniques (regarding prices, quantities, reductions, promotions) and negotiate with suppliers for specific assignments, decode purchasers’ negotiation techniques and contracts terms.
• Solid experience in sales & negotiation role.
• Fluent English and any other language is a plus.
• Listen and communicate with efficiency.
• Act autonomously and take proactive and responsive initiatives.
• Entrepreneurship and a creative, customer-oriented solution provider.
• Excellent team building skills, convince and federate.
• Strong and diplomatic communicant.
• Open minded, Ability to analyse and synthetize.
• Result driven.

• Ability to influence through indirect leadership: ability to lead a multi-cultural remote based team without formal authority or hierarchical power.

Responsibilities

• Align local strategy with Phileo’s Sub-Region objectives, adapting to local customer and market demands.
• Ensure financial performance within sales targets.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships.
• Lead and motivate local team.
• Implement the commercial strategy to hit sales targets, including local technical support and product promotion.
• Work with regional/national authorities, coordinate with Phileo management, cross-functional teams, and Lesaffre site management when present in the area.
