About The Position

This role involves inspecting buildings for proper operation, cleanliness, and safety. The Area Manager is responsible for maintaining heating, air conditioning, and lighting in accordance with federal guidelines. This position also serves as the primary liaison between building occupants and Facilities Management & Planning staff. Additionally, the role includes preparing buildings for special events or classes as requested and supervising custodial staff to ensure tasks are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Requirements

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent
• Excellent supervisory and management skills
• Three to five years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings for proper operation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Maintain heating, air conditioning, and lighting in accordance with federal guidelines.
• Function as the primary liaison between building occupants and Facilities Management & Planning staff.
• Prepare buildings for special events or classes as requested and in accordance with instructions submitted by requesting department.
• Supervise custodial staff to ensure assigned tasks are completed in a satisfactory and timely basis.
