About The Position

We have an opening for an Area Maintenance Manager whose responsibilities include leading a team of skilled dayshift & rotating technicians to support the reactive & planned maintenance needs of a production area within the facility. This position includes the evaluation of team efficiency and leadership of progress initiatives.

Requirements

  • Technical college diploma, bachelor or graduate degree, or an equivalent experience
  • 3+ years as a maintenance supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven success in resource planning and team development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and resolve issues
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal plant customers
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a collaborative leader

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees by ensuring equipment is in optimal operating condition and adheres to safety standards.
  • Implement the maintenance strategy, monitor key performance indicators, and complete corrective and preventive actions to achieve short and medium term objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of multidisciplinary maintenance professionals to increase the durability of equipment and address obsolescence challenges.
  • Enhance process reliability by implementing and ensuring the effectiveness of maintenance plans.
  • Oversee and optimize the maintenance budget including workforce, supply, and services.
  • Foster team development and empowerment, actively support succession planning, and collaborate closely with the Site Maintenance Manager to strengthen the team’s leadership pipeline.
