About The Position

The Maintenance Area Manager is responsible for planning and directing daily preventative and predictive maintenance tasks across all shifts. This role supports and maintains all plant maintenance functions, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, EMS, ergonomics, equipment safety, quality, efficiency, and uptime requirements. The manager also plays a key role in team development, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning and directing daily preventative/predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, EMS, ergonomics, and equipment safety.
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Systems.
  • Ability to participate in team selection, development, training, and discipline.
  • Experience in performing performance appraisals and making recommendations for promotions.
  • Skills in supporting continuous improvement and cost-saving activities.
  • Ability to enforce and maintain company policies and guidelines.
  • Adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Authority to stop production operations for safety or quality concerns.
  • Ability to treat all team members with dignity and respect.

  • Experience with EMS spills and general requirements.
  • Familiarity with production and shift-to-shift meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct daily preventative/predictive maintenance tasks for all shifts.
  • Assist with EMS spills and general requirements.
  • Support and maintain all maintenance functions in the plant, including OSHA Regulations, EMS, ergonomics, safety of equipment, equipment quality and efficiency, and uptime requirements.
  • Perform preventative and predictive tasks on all equipment and the facility.
  • Participate in the selection, development, training, and discipline of Maintenance Team Members.
  • Perform performance appraisals and make recommendations on promotions or other changes in status of Maintenance Team Members.
  • Support IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Systems.
  • Participate in production and shift-to-shift meetings, delivering expectations on issues needing specific attention to meet customer requirements and making recommendations on how to accomplish tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-saving activities utilizing technical and advanced techniques.
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice open and honest communication.
  • Enforce and maintain Company policies and guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Stop production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns.
  • Treat all Team Members with dignity and respect.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.
