About The Position

The Area Leader Trainee oversees a group of 12–14 retail store locations and participates in an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. The role prepares trainees for appointment as an Area Leader and a key operations position, with potential career paths in different directions within 2–5 years. A company vehicle is provided for business use upon appointment to take over a district. The role focuses on developing store teams, delivering excellent customer service, and managing multi-unit retail operations.

Requirements

• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or at least five years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail or commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100 or more employees.
• A valid driver's license from the state of residence.
• Maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
• Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous multi-unit management experience.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
• Implement merchandising programs.
• Control cash and inventory.
• Motivate employees and build teams.
• Promote excellent customer service.
• Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
• Set performance goals and objectives and monitor results with upper management.
• Oversee 12–14 store locations.
