About The Position

7-Eleven is seeking a motivated Field Operations Intern for a paid summer internship. The program provides hands-on experience in the fast-paced convenience retail environment and is designed to help undergraduate or graduate students explore a career at 7-Eleven. It includes four segments, exposure to multiple facets of the business, and a culminating project presentation. Interns interact with Franchisees, Store Leaders, Area Leaders, Market Leaders, and Operations Support teams.

Requirements

• Strong interest in working in retail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of retail and management principles.
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, stay organized, and focus on details.

Nice To Haves

• Rising junior, rising senior, or graduate class standing.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Attend an orientation at the Store Support Center in Irving, Texas, introducing the team to 7-Eleven’s history, culture, strategy, and structure.
• Complete a two- to three-week in-store experience learning operational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Attend one week of virtual classroom training covering the Area Leader role and responsibilities and foundational merchandising principles.
• Shadow an Area Leader and learn ways to support and consult store operators to help increase sales and gross profit.
• Complete a project assignment focused on building sales and gross profit through effective merchandising principles and execution.
• Present a case study on key learnings from the project assignment.
