The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Candidate will lead and manage the Program Integration Area Integrator Team. An Area Integrator is the focal point and prime communicator of the Processing Area responsible for the daily coordination/implementation and integration of scheduled work operations for COMET, and all NASA contractors, including the various sub-contractors working in KSC facilities. The Area Integrator will perform assessments and de-confliction of competing priorities, integrating with appropriate level(s) of Management, across multiple projects, customers and programs.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills required.
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and outlook.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy.
  • Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of area integrators ensuring personnel are properly trained and certified to support schedule demands across all KSC facilities and operations
  • Manage personnel to assure resources are available to meet scheduled needs, off-shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Prime Integrator of operations in the processing areas/facilities responsible for coordination and implementation of scheduled work.
  • Responsible for integration of facility operations, ground, and flight hardware processing
  • Responsible for Emergency Action Management (EAM) for facility assigned ensuring safety of personnel in coordination with emergency services, test team and safety organization
  • Integration and coordination of multiple NASA Contractor operational activities
  • Process and facility management support to assess competing priorities across multiple projects, customers, and programs
  • O&M oversight of the area systems, reporting systems and coordination with Flow Management/Planning/Engineering, and NASA to communicate priorities.
  • Develop and manage department budgets
  • Train personnel to support operations across all KSC facilities supporting seven day work week, including off-shifts
  • Perform other duties as assigned to include off-shift and/or weekend work.
