Area Field Manager
About The Position
The Area Field Manager promotes the U-Haul brand and educates independent business partners and leaders about the benefits of becoming a U-Haul dealer. The role manages a designated route, working with small businesses and dealerships to expand the dealer network, grow transactions, and provide products and services to local communities. The manager also maintains U-Haul equipment and displays, coordinates with support staff, and operates a stocked service vehicle. The position is based at 1710 R T Dunn Dr, Bloomington, Illinois 61701. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, open, and grow U-Haul dealerships by working with small businesses along the designated route.
- Develop and manage relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships; provide professional insight into local markets and train and educate dealers on potential growth.
- Manage route profit and loss through analysis and grow the route through transactions and provision of products and services to local communities.
- Service and maintain U-Haul equipment and displays to support operational excellence and marketability.
- Work with support staff to help U-Haul dealerships on the route succeed efficiently.
- Operate a properly stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle to distribute equipment throughout the route.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on U-Haul equipment and arrange recovery of lost, stolen, or abandoned equipment.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
