About The Position

The hours between 3:00pm and 7:00pm are critical in a child's life. At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, these hours are used to build the next generation of CEOs, artists, educators, and community anchors. As the largest youth-serving organization in the county, the organization is seeking a strategic Area Director to lead its Clubhouses into their next chapter of excellence. As Area Director, the role involves cultivating talent and scaling impact, leading a team of Clubhouse managers, and ensuring that the "DNA Culture Code" is a lived experience for every staff member and child.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the deployment of high-impact, outcome-driven programming across multiple sites.
  • Mentor and develop managerial staff, building a robust pipeline of talent within the organization.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and operational integrity, managing grant reporting and organizational capacity with precision.
  • Ensure Clubs remain a safe, patient, and inclusive haven that reflects the diversity of Whatcom County.
