About The Position

Utah State Archives is looking for a new Archival Technician to work in the State Records Center in Clearfield. If you have great customer service skills, warehouse or stockroom experience, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and are skilled at entering information into a database, this could be the job for you!

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds between pallets and shelving.
  • Ability to perform work at heights of up to 20 feet safely.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of various computer software programs including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a warehouse.
  • Experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

  • Assist state agencies with records management inquiries, concerns, and reports.
  • Receive and verify incoming records for accuracy; organize, prepare, and process archival materials for storage, transfer, or destruction.
  • Maintain precise logs and records by entering and managing information within a computerized database.
  • Provide excellent service through professional phone and email communication.
  • Shelf, retrieve, and organize boxed materials using warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric lifts.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as directed.
