About The Position

TRP has a current vacancy for an Architectural Technical Lead. The Architectural Technical Lead provides technical leadership for architectural design and coordination across a major rail transit infrastructure project delivered by Trillium Rail Partners (TRP). This role ensures architectural designs meet operational, safety, accessibility, and passenger experience requirements while supporting constructability and integration with all engineering disciplines. The role works closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to deliver functional and well-coordinated transit facilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience delivering architectural design for major infrastructure, transportation facilities, or complex public buildings.
  • Strong architectural technical knowledge and coordination abilities.
  • Understanding of transit facility design and passenger flow considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional architectural designation or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in design-build or P3 project environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for architectural scope across stations, entrances, ancillary buildings, and public spaces.
  • Ensure consistency in the architecture designs and solutions across the project.
  • Mentor architectural technical coordinators across the project.
  • Review architectural design packages, drawings, specifications, material and finishes selection, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure architectural designs meet accessibility, safety, durability, and passenger flow requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural elements with structural, mechanical, electrical, and systems infrastructure.
  • Support constructability reviews and value engineering exercises.
  • Participate in design reviews, stakeholder workshops, and technical coordination meetings.
  • Support resolution of architectural technical issues, RFIs, and design changes during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and transit authority design guidelines.
  • Assist the construction, procurement, estimating and scheduling teams with technical review and inputs of construction schedule, procurement packages, estimating scope and assumption and scheduling assumptions.
  • Support integration of architectural components with testing, commissioning, and final project delivery.
