The Architectural Project Manager organizes and leads relatively smaller projects in terms of complexity and scope, with oversight from a Principal in Charge (PIC). The role manages project resources, internal and external communication, schedules, and budgets, and works with owners while directing employees and consultants to ensure work is completed as planned, within budget and schedule, and in accordance with design intent and contract deliverables. With guidance from a PIC or Senior Project Manager, the role assists in coordinating project teams, defining project goals, planning staffing, developing scopes and proposals, negotiating consultant scopes and fees, monitoring project financials, and maintaining office standards. The project manager develops the skills to independently lead smaller, less complex projects over time. The position also supports construction administration, client and consultant relationships, business development, internal processes, and the firm's professional and ethical commitments. Travel to project sites, jurisdictions, and client meetings, including overnight travel, may be needed.
