Serve as an Architectural Engineer (AE) to provide conceptual and detailed design of building architecture in the post-sales stage. This role involves working with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes. The AE will be responsible for the detailed design of mechanical parts, including wall and floor penetrations, doors and door hardware, flashing and sealing, and water mitigation. Designs must meet or exceed Vertiv quality requirements and stay within budgetary constraints. The position requires creating detailed Schematic Design (SD), Detail Design (DD), and Construction Drawing (CD) narratives for architectural design aspects. The AE will also review and approve architectural product submittals, coordinate with Mechanical Engineers on thermal transfer calculations, and specify architectural and finish materials. Collaboration with Vertiv’s business units, Business Partners, and vendors is essential for specifying appropriate material specifications and sizes for fabrication. The role includes defining project scope, providing technical support, coordinating structural and civil work design, and offering technical project coordination with customers and suppliers. Quality control during execution, support for on-site module repairs, and travel to fabricators for design validation and workmanship audits are also key responsibilities. The AE may communicate directly with customers to understand and design solutions for their needs, offering creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
