About The Position

SFE Engineering is seeking an Architectural Engineer to join our team in Flushing. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for an entry-level professional eager to launch a career in the architecture and planning industry. As part of our architectural engineering department, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and coordination of building projects from concept through construction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Entry-level experience or internship experience in architectural or structural engineering

  • Knowledge of building codes and construction practices

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of architectural and engineering drawings and plans
  • Support senior engineers with structural analysis and design calculations
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency
  • Review drawings and specifications for compliance with building codes
  • Participate in site visits and assist with construction observation
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project correspondence
  • Use CAD and BIM software to develop and revise project models
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants on project deliverables
  • Assist in resolving design and construction-related issues
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
  • Stay informed about industry standards, materials, and building technologies
