About The Position

Little, a nationally recognized "Best Firm to Work For" and one of the nation's most progressive design firms, is seeking an Architectural Designer with a passion for high-quality design and a positive, collaborative work style for its growing Healthcare Studio in Durham, NC. The selected individual will work with regional healthcare clients on projects of varying size and scope, including Acute Care Hospitals, Specialty Centers, ASCs, and Clinics. This position requires a team member who leads with a positive attitude and can thrive in a highly ambitious and entrepreneurial environment, contributing to breakthrough ideas through design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience.
  • On the path to licensure or a licensed Architect.
  • Solid design and production skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extraordinary computer skills (strong Revit experience required, Exterior and Interior rendering utilizing programs such as Enscape and AI, and programs used to prepare presentation documents such as PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), as well as the ability to do hand sketching.
  • Self-motivation and a desire to learn about all aspects of Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Providing conceptual design and design support documentation for teams working on a variety of healthcare projects ranging from small upfits to large hospital campus master plans and projects.
  • Supporting studio leadership with presentation composition for executive and design meetings.
  • Assisting project teams with renderings, interactive client meetings, and design workshops.
  • Supporting construction document teams; and learning about construction practices on project sites.
