CEC has an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh, PA office, for an Architectural Design Consultant experienced in preparing construction documents using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and overseeing projects throughout all phases. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering preferred
- 10+ years design experience on architectural projects
- Thrive in a team collaboration and multidiscipline studio environment
- Experience with site elements and building architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information
- Experience with construction materials, building codes, and regulatory standards
- Background in ADA accessibility requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Architectural license or desire to become licensed
- Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam software
- Experience in preparing construction documents and specifications
- Experience in design/bid/build and design/build project delivery systems
Responsibilities
- Preparing construction documents using Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Overseeing projects throughout all phases
- Coordinating design criteria with other disciplines
- Developing material take-offs
- Preparing meeting minutes and proposal writing
- Providing construction administration services
- Performing property or facility condition assessments
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Preparing accurate detailed existing drawings
- Hazardous material analysis
