About The Position

CFE Architects (http://www.cfearchitects.com) is an award-winning architecture and construction administration firm that has provided architectural services to the South Florida community since 1961. The firm has participated in and been involved with joint ventures overseeing the development of nearly four billion dollars of construction across Central and South Florida. We have successful and long-standing relationships with our clients and consultants, including various city planning and administrative officials. CFE was awarded the South Florida Business Journal award for 2021, 2023, & 2025 Structures Award for Best Architecture/Design. CFE Architects is currently seeking an experienced Architectural Construction Project Manager to administer all of the required tasks on behalf of our design team, including our 2nd tier design consultants, during the construction phase of Projects from the initial placement of foundations through to the final 100% completion. Candidates should have a firm knowledge and proficiency on aspects of design principles, construction documents, Building Code and ADA Accessibility requirements, construction methods and a willingness for research with a desire for continued growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of related Construction Administration experience including Job Site Field Experience
  • Proficient in preparing detailed schematic and for construction sketches utilizing Bluebeam Revu or Adobe.
  • Proficient in utilizing construction industry RFI & Submittal Logs, Procore a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and respond to contractor (RFI'S)/Request for Information and manage the responses from our 2nd tier design consultants.
  • Thoroughly review General & Subcontractor contractor Layout Shop Drawings, Equipment and Material Submittal's and manage the reviews from our 2nd tier design consultants to ensure contractor compliance with the Permit set of construction documents.
  • Coordinate all required design plan change revisions with consultants for distribution to building department authorities and contractors.
  • Prepare and issue detailed Design Sketches and Directives.
  • Attend and represent the design teams at all O.A.C. / Owner Architect Contractor Meetings to track and address all matters and current issues.
  • Conduct Job Site Field Observations and field Reports to ensure compliance with construction documents.
  • Assist in addressing building department field inspector questions and concerns.
  • Review monthly Contractor Pay Applications and when requested contractor request for contract change orders.
