As an Architect on the Cloud team within the Professional Services organization, you will have the opportunity to design, plan, and architect technology solutions based on the VMware / Hyper-V portfolio. As the lead subject matter expert on VMware / Hyper-V, this role supports all aspects of design and service delivery and facilitates technical workshops with our valued enterprise and public sector clients.

Computer Science / Information Technology degree or diploma or equivalent industry experience.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
8+ years’ work experience in a client-facing professional services role, or 10+ years of related industry experience.
Certifications and Trainings- VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization Deploy (VCAP‑NV, 2024), VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization Design (VCAP‑NV, 2024), VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25).
Technical Knowledge: VCF 9.0 architecture and new capabilities, VCF 5x and 9x hands-on experience, VCF Operations integration, VMware validated solutions and reference architectures, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver VMware / Hyper-V and collaboration solutions that meet client requirements and timelines.
Serve as the technical authority on VMware / Hyper-V projects, which would include upgrades, installations, configurations, migrations, security enhancement, administration, policy development, and user training. This will require a technical understanding of planning, designing, setting up, and administering VMware / Hyper-V environments.
Work closely with co-workers (internally), end-users (externally), and vendor representatives (Microsoft) on the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VMware / Hyper-V, in accordance with contract SLAs.
Mentor and develop Consultants, Engineers and Technicians on the team, and provide guidance on their technical skills, as well as the soft skills required for their success.
Function as a technical expert, with strong customer interaction skills, and the ability to advise on, implement, and manage complex solution and service deployments for clients.
Have a hunger for learning, and take advantage of the opportunities to pursue relevant certifications and training for VMware / Hyper-V.
Serve as a technical authority and subject matter expert for Softchoice, supporting other individuals and teams at trade shows, events, and speaking engagements that specifically require your technical expertise.
