With overall supervision from the Manager Architecture, and day-to-day supervision from the Project Manager and/or Project Architect, assist in executing office and project-related design and technical tasks of any size or complexity. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • 36 months of experience, Same or Similar, including Assistant Architect
  • Three years of experience utilizing/applying Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 and Bluebeam (experience may be concurrent)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Read existing construction documents, organize field checking activities and surveying existing buildings.
  • Produce existing building as-builts and develop architectural building backgrounds using graphic ability.
  • Accurately produce construction documents based on direction from the lead Project Architect.
  • Produce drawing stick sets if directed by the Project Architect.
  • Carry out design tasks of limited scope (site planning alternate studies, elevational studies, stairs, toilet room layouts, etc.) and with technical task (building sections, wall sections, special details, etc.).
  • Apply excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with all assigned project team members, including engineering disciplines.
  • Follow direction from the Project Manager or lead Project Architect and advise of any questions.
  • Assist the lead Project Architect with coordination of the construction documents with other disciplines or consultants.
  • Assist in programming sessions, preparation of programming documents and presentation materials.
  • Participate in design charrettes.
  • Undertake in-house construction administration duties (basic submittal review).
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
